Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) offers a number of cardiology services that can meet your needs while saving you time and travel costs. Cardiology services. Do you have a heart condition that needs ongoing care? GVMH offers state-of-the-art cardiology services at our outpatient clinic in Clinton five days a week. We have also added cardiology services at Golden Valley Medical–Warsaw twice a month. Heart health tests. Do you need a test to help check for a heart problem or to monitor and manage one you already have? If so, you may be able to get that test right here at GVMH. “Just about any heart screening is offered at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare,” says Savanna Facklam, RN, MSN, Director of the Outpatient Treatment Center at GVMH. “We have several cardiologists right here, ready to provide you with the care you need. Virtual cardiology visits. Telemedicine technology is now part of the GVMH cardiology clinic. Telemedicine is a video conferencing tool that allows GVMH to provide care around the clock. Although GVMH offers a variety of cardiology services, including follow-up visits after heart surgery, telemedicine is another option. If needed, this allows patients to be seen without the need to drive any further than GVMH. Hometown heart care “Telemedicine can help save time and money because you don’t have to drive back and forth,” Facklam says. Cardiac rehab. This outpatient exercise program helps people recover from a heart attack or heart surgery. And it teaches people with heart disease or risk factors about healthy living. Rehab locations are in Clinton, Warsaw and Osceola. “We know from our community health needs assessment reports that our community has a need for cardiology services close to home,” says Kyle Adkins, Chief of Professional Services at GVMH. With all these great heart health and heart care options available, GVMH is the choice for most cardiology needs. You don’t need to travel when specialty care is available right here.
